Who we are
Yaamie Foundations is a charitable trust based at No.63, Vattamalaipalayam, Coimbatore 641022, Tamil Nadu, India. We work for human welfare, animal welfare and environmental protection. This policy explains how we handle personal information shared with us through this website, WhatsApp, phone and email.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. Depending on what you do, this may include:
- Donations: your name, WhatsApp number, amount, cause, payment method and transaction ID.
- Animal rescue reports: your name, phone number, the location of the animal and any photos you send.
- Volunteering, partnerships and messages: your name, phone number, organisation, area, availability and what you write to us.
Our website forms do not store your details on a server. When you submit a form, WhatsApp opens with your message ready to send, and we receive it only when you press Send.
Payments
We never ask for, collect or store card numbers, bank passwords, UPI PINs or OTPs. UPI payments are made directly from your own UPI app to our account, yaamie@sbi, and are processed by your app and the banks involved. We see the payer's name, amount and transaction reference in our bank records, which we use to verify your donation.
How we use it
- To respond to you, and to coordinate rescues, volunteering and partnerships.
- To verify donations and send your acknowledgement and receipt.
- To keep accurate donation records for our accounts, audits and legal obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Our trustees and volunteers, only as needed to act on your request.
- Partner veterinary clinics, when needed to treat an animal you reported.
- Service providers that carry your message or payment, such as WhatsApp (Meta), your UPI app and the banks.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Analytics and third parties
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and shows us only overall numbers.
Some pages load content from other services: fonts from Google Fonts, a map from Google Maps on our contact page, and a QR code tool from cdnjs on our donate page. These services may receive your device's IP address under their own privacy policies. Our website does not set cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep donation records for as long as needed for our accounts and as required by law. Other messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and follow up.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time. We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Some donation records may need to be kept to meet legal and accounting requirements.
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sharing your details with us.
